Ingredients:
1 – 4.5lb Louisiana Crawfish Seasoning
1 large tub of Country Crock Butter or any butter
2 1/3 cups of sugar
2-32oz of minced garlic
8 oz liquid crab boil
1/2 gallon orange juice
2 onion
Flour
Directions:
In the crawfish pot:
– fill up 1/3 of pot with water
– add 3/4 bag of the large Louisiana crawfish seasoning ( I
think it’s a 4.5lb bag)
– 1/4 tub of the large Country Crock Butter
– 2 cups of sugar
– 48 oz of minced garlic (it’s a jar and half)
– 8 oz of the liquid crab boil
– 1 of the 1/2 gallon of orange juice
– 2 onions
Sauce:
Put the remaining butter in a pot and melt it. Add the
remaining garlic (16oz), 1/2 cup-1 cup of Louisiana
seasoning (depends on how spicy you want it), and 1/3 cup of
sugar. Let that simmer until the liquid is reduced. Once its
reduced some, whisk in some flour until you get a gravy like
consistency.
When we boil
the crawfish, we wait until the water gets to a boil, along
with the other healthy stuff that’s in it 🙂 , then add the
crawfish and let it boil for about 7 minutes. Then you turn
off the heat and let it soak for 15 minutes. The longer you
let it soak, the spicier it will be. Once you take it out of
the pot, you just pour the sauce over it.
